AMG Clinical Practice Resources: Foundations of Clinical Practice

Foundations of Clinical Practice Information

Welcome to the Foundations of Clinical Practice Information Page.  On this page you will find specific information that is provided to associates during the Foundations of Clinical Practice class.  This is a REQUIRED class for all new hires, transfers that are new to the clinic environment (i.e. hospital to clinic transfer), or transfers that previously held a support role and are new to a role requiring hands-on skills (i.e. PSR to MA transfer).  The Foundations of Clinical Practice course was a two day in-person session and has now been converted to an online independent learning (Day 1 content) and in-person/hands-on learning (Day 2 class). The online independent learning content is information needed to ensure Joint Commission compliance, information on the rooming process and tips on patient satisfaction and service recovery.  The in-person/hands-on course day is an all day class focused on skill review and reinforcement.  Attendance at the in-person/hands-on course day is needed to satisfy the attendance requirement.  On this page, you will find:

  • A list of the information provided for both all Foundations of Clinical Practice Course content
  • Detailed information, forms, Power Points, and links used in the class
